Rick & Mary Sullivan’s (860-675-3403, cell 860-324-4952). From the intersection of route 6 and 69 North in Bristol follow route 69 north approx 3 miles to area entrance road on left. Follow signs to Beaver Pond Trail; park at Beaver Pond Trailhead. There will be hikes of varying length and difficulty available. After the hikes we’ll gather at Rick & Mary’s (close by). BYOB and something to share. We’ll have hamburgers, and salmon burgers for everybody. |

COMEDY NIGHT Saturday, November 7th VFW Post #2138 3272 Main Street Rocky Hill 8:00 p.m. The Wethersfield/Rocky Hill Rotary Club presents a "Comedy NIght" on Nov. 7 8 p.m. at the VFW Post #2138 on 3272 Main St. Rocky Hill. Three comedians will perform featuring John Rizzo, voted funniest man in Connecticut! Tickets are $20.00 and are available by calling 860-563-5411. Tickets are also available at the door and can be purchased on line at www.FunnyMoneyComedy.com. Cash bar & snacks are provided. Funds from ticket sales will benefit the Rotary Club's distribution of free dictionaries to all third grade students in Wethersfield and Rocky Hill. |

Rick Sullivan (860-675-3403, cell 860-324-4952). Take I-384 east to exit 4. Left at end of ramp onto Willys St. turn rt onto route 534 (Highland Ave). Go under highway to right turn onto Birch Mtn Rd. then a right turn into Shenipsit Trail Parking area it is the second case Mtn parking lot on Birch Mtn Rd. From I-384 west take exit 4. Turn right at end of ramp onto Highland Ave and follow the previous directions. This is aproximately 5.2 mile hike with some steep ups and downs and a great lookout point.Note this is not the same hike we did in October. We will cover some of the same points but many new ones and somewhat tougher trails. Apres Hike activities at Angie & Joe's. BYOB |

| Nov 14 | Sat | 11:00a Pete Noyes Memorial Hike | Not an official MTL event but Pete was a Newington Ski Club member and a good friend to many of us. He died two years ago and a memorial hike is planned on Talcott Mountain at 11 a.m. Refreshments at Bob Kaczmarczyk's house. |

Meet at 10:30 a.m..(note early departure) at the Commuter Parking lot off Exit 37 (Bloomfield Avenue, rt. 305). Take a right off the exit, the lot is immediately on your right. It will take us about an hour from there to reach the trailhead. This hike features many overlooks of Easthampton, MA. We will eat at an area restaurant after the hike. One steep section, the rest is moderate. |

Turn right at end of ramp go past Loew’s Plaza, and past Crooked St. to parking lot on right where the Metacomet trail crosses route 372. Hike is 6 miles with nice views at Pinnacle rock and goes past an old Nike Site on the way to Will Warren’s Den and the peak of Rattlesnake Mountain. |
